This style of door slab ("Victoria") has become very popular and really does look quite elegant. The glass in this system is Novatech's Lounge collection. At the customer's request we re-located the sidelite for better flow in the foyer and access to the closet. Another great looking job with huge curb appeal!

January 2010 - Happy New Year! From all of us at Hugo's
Now that the holidays are long gone we're looking forward to another busy year. With the "HRTC" (Home Renovation Tax Credit) soon behind us, it's time to focus on the "HST" (Harmonized Sales Tax). As you're probably already aware, our services on July 1st will cost the homeowner 13% in Tax, compared to 5% currently. NOW is the time to book your install and beat the tax hike. Don't forget though, based on the scale of your renovation, it might still be worthwhile taking advantage of the Government's "ecoEnergy" Retrofit Grants and Incentives Program.

November 2009 - Things you can't see and why "Insert" install methods aren't always the best.
Did you know.. That an "Insert" type installation leaves all rotting window frames in place. You simply get a "new" window mounted within your old frame and it's covered up with shiny new aluminum. At Hugo's, we discourage this type of installation and this is why. Here is a great opportunity to see how far the damage has progressed beyond the actual window. It's good that have the chance to remedy it.
